Fran is the Clinical Lead in Podiatry & Biomechanics at Accelerate CIC. At Accelerate, she works within clinical nursing team’s and runs a specialist biomechanics clinic which is unique in that it delivers musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry treatment for people with lymphoedema, lipoedema and leg ulcers. Fran’s current focus is on expanding knowledge in MSK care for people with lower extremity lymphoedema (LEL) through research and a multidisciplinary team (MDT) / joint working approach. Fran has worked in podiatry, surgical, MDT and research environments in the NHS, private practice and in social enterprise. Fran is currently the Vice Chair of the British Lymphology Society Scientific Committee and is a peer previewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research. She currently holds an NIHR pre-doctoral fellowship award and is studying at King’s College London. The focus of her research is in understanding the impact of MSK impairment in people with LEL.
