Kate combines over 14 years as a Charity Director/Trustee with a professional career in Human Resources & business operations (mainly medical devices and research pharmaceuticals). Kate is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. In addition to her other Board positions, Kate has been a Trustee at Lipoedema UK since 2016, and helped found the Lipedema World Alliance in 2022. Kate is also qualified as an aqua exercise instructor in various techniques from group classes to Aqua Stretch, Aqua Kriya Yoga and Aqua Pilates. Kate is passionate about using her skills in governance and business leadership in raising lipoedema awareness and collaborating with healthcare professionals and researchers on lipoedema.
